Summer Bishil has been an American actor since 2015. She is known as Margo Hanon in the Syfy the fantasy-based show The Magicians. Her previous work was recognized by playing a 13-year-old Lebanese-American girl Jasira Maroun as she goes through a series of tumultuous personal experiences in the backdrop the U.S. military invasion of Iraq during the Gulf War in the Alan Ball film Towelhead. In 2007, she was chosen by Variety as one of the 10 actors they wanted to see. She portrayed another character of great power Taslima Jahangir in the 2009 crime drama film Crossing Over for which she received nominations for the Independent Spirit Award in the Best Female Lead category. In addition, she acted as co-lead in films such as The Mooz-lum The Last Airbender Pop Star, Under the Silver Lake, and in several TV guest parts.
